At the beginning of every month our team looks back on recent projects to evaluate actions that lead to success. Throughout this reflection, we honor our wonderful team of consultants by selecting a member who expertly completed their work while living the MHA core values. The nominee is chosen based on outstanding performance, client recommendation, and sentiment from the leadership team. With the wide array of experts on every project at MHA, this is no easy task. Yet, after careful consideration, we have chosen Evelyn Sumner as January’s Consultant of the Month!
Evelyn joined MHA in November of 2018. Although, she was new to this type of work, her desire to learn and grow made for a quick transition towards success. “Evelyn has done a great job developing the education department. Throughout her time, she has proven to learn quickly, developing the departments she works within as well as her own knowledge,” said Director of Consulting Services, Kevin Jones when asked about Evelyn’s contributions. The MHA team is grateful for Evelyn’s continued support representing MHA in a supportive light. Evelyn’s desire to produce quality work and connect with clients is a driving force in her work, paving the way for positive outcomes throughout any implementation.
Background
Evelyn has over 30 years in the healthcare industry. Her vast experience ranges from hospital work to homecare and hospice on both the patient care and backend optimization side of operations. Evelyn’s expertise in the patient care setting carried her career up until 2018 when she was ready to expand her knowledge. Her expertise in operations and implementations lead her to MHA where she took a leap of faith and joined as an implementation consultant. Outside of work, Evelyn lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where she enjoys basketball, Zumba, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her three children and seven grandchildren.
MHA Experience
As an MHA consultant, Evelyn works as an implementation consultant, specializing in leadership throughout home health optimizations. She draws from her experience in the holistic care industry, bringing a unique perspective to every job she is a part of at MHA. Her skills lie within leadership and support; her desire to connect with others allows any implementation to go smoothly while creating a memorable environment for clients and coworkers alike.
Evelyn’s favorite core value is a mixture of “Team First” and “Have Fun” in the sense that it allows her to help others while creating work the team can be proud of at MHA. Working at MHA brings her so much joy knowing that she’s able to build new relationships with each customer. She remains confident any team she’s a part of is filled with professionals dedicated to superlative service and results.
We asked Evelyn what her favorite part of working with MHA is and she said “Maxwell is just like a family. They foster family first values, all their consultant’s rock, and it is a privilege to work with such a great group of individuals!” Evelyn’s desire to produce stellar work and foster long-lasting relationships with clients and team members has improved countless operations she’s been a part of at MHA.
