A new month is upon us once again. In the spirit of tradition, our team takes this time to reflect on recent projects, while considering actionable efforts that lead to success. Throughout this process, we honor our amazing consulting team by selecting a member who showed great success while living and working the MHA Difference. Considering the wide roster of superstars on our team this is no easy task. However, after consideration from our senior leadership, we have named Dustin Cowan as February’s Consultant of the Month!
Dustin joined MHA in 2018 as a home health and hospice consultant. Throughout his time, he has focused on optimizations, assessments, and due diligence quickly making a name for himself within the industry. “Dustin is an incredible team player, he streamlines any project and has a great rapport with our clients,” said Senior Consultant, Keri Shockley about Dustin’s performance. “He is one of the most positive and team-oriented consultants I have ever had the pleasure of working with”. Dustin’s positive attitude and willingness to work with others makes any job he’s on enjoyable and successful.
Background
Dustin is originally from Sevierville, Tennessee, and has a wide range of experience in many different fields. When he first left university, he worked as a professional equestrian trainer and performer for Dolly Parton. After making the switch over to the realm of post-acute consulting, he was part of a team responsible for transitioning over 300 home health agencies from paper documentation to digital records with HCHB. Dustin has taken the skills he picked up along the way to streamline support and optimization efforts through consulting with MHA. Outside of work, Dustin enjoys traveling to learn about areas and experience rich global cultures, and spending time with his wife and three children.
MHA Experience
As an MHA consultant, Dustin specializes in due diligence, operational assessments, and process optimization. He draws from his experience working with EMR implementations and his passion in connecting with others to create a positive environment for anyone involved in a job.
Dustin’s favorite MHA core value is “Gratitude” because he says he’s seen it improve countless jobs firsthand. Working at MHA brings Dustin confidence in knowing the people he’s with are gracious and willing to teach. Dustin says the humble learning environment on site makes him proud to be a part of MHA.
We asked Dustin what his favorite part of working on the team is and he said “MHA gives you the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the brightest minds in post-acute care. It is very fulfilling knowing I am actively learning while providing meaningful improvements for our clients”. Dustin’s positive attitude and desire to learn speaks to his success working with clients and coworkers at MHA. We’re happy to have you on board, Dustin! Keep up the good work and congratulations on your nomination!
