Every month we like to show some extra appreciation for our wonderful consultants. To do so, our leadership team selects a consultant at the beginning of every month who lives and demonstrates the MHA Difference both on and off-site. This person is selected based on contribution to the site, feedback from the consulting team, and overall excellence within the field. Although this is no easy task, after careful consideration, Angela Woodruff has been selected as December’s Consultant of the Month!
Angela joined MHA in September of 2021 where she specialized in implementations, focusing on EMR and PCR projects. Recently, she has begun assisting in client CHAP and survey readiness. “Angela has been stellar in her review, work, and discussions with the client,” said Kimberly Mulquin-Shumway, Director of Quality & Regulatory Compliance at MHA when asked about Angela’s contributions. “(Angela) is amazing and has been an incredibly valuable asset to MHA.” Both the MHA team and clients on-site warmly welcome Angela’s desire to learn and improve productivity for everyone involved.
Background
Angela has a long history within the care industry. She has been a registered nurse for almost 26 years, specializing in education and management. Throughout this journey, she spent 17 years in hospice leadership, ICU, and home health care. In her past positions, she learned the inner mechanisms of the industry, picking up valuable insights to optimize backend and implement success measures in countless agencies. Angela lives in Mississippi with her husband and three of her children. When she’s not at work, Angela enjoys cooking, hosting parties, and doing arts and crafts with her grandchild.
MHA Experience
As an MHA consultant, Angela specializes in implementations, PCR projects, and CHAP readiness. Her background in health management greatly contributes to her expertise in implementations, but she’s always hungry to learn more and grow as a professional. She is a lifelong learner and loves the large support network in MHA that’s always willing to share their knowledge and experiences. “I also appreciate that the leaders within MHA see what each consultant can bring to the table and ensure that we are constantly challenged to grow in our expertise,” said Angela about the motivation she receives every day from her position.
Angela’s favorite MHA core value is “Team First” as she has seen it in action countless times on-site. She says this value encourages her as a consultant to step forward and share her knowledge to better serve the MHA team as well as the clients. “No one is ever made to feel less knowledgeable, it’s all about growth and mutual success.”
We asked Angela what her favorite aspect of working with MHA is and she said: “I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people who love what we do, and I’ve learned so much as a result.” We’re glad to have you, Angela! Keep up the great work! Congratulations on your nomination!
