Consultant of the Month | Allan Souza

Every month our wonderful Senior Consultant Team comes together to name a specific person who went above and beyond while on-site. This representative is someone that’s able to provide expert service, create lasting relationships, and represent MHA in a positive light while fostering a meaningful impact. Naming this person each month takes a lot of consideration, especially since our team is filled with rockstars, but, after careful reflection, the team has nominated Allan Souza as July’s Consultant of the Month.
Allan joined MHA in December of 2018 and quickly created meaningful relationships to strengthen the team. “He is so much fun to work with and very knowledgeable about the system for implementations. Customers love him and he is quick to build rapport,” said Keri Shockley, senior consultant. Allan’s ability to make light of challenging situations, positive attitude, and willingness to take on challenges are among the reasons he is named an MHA Rockstar.
Background
Before joining MHA, Allan owned a fitness studio where he worked as a personal trainer. During this job he fostered strong communication skills and relationships, which he was able to adapt to his job at MHA, forming meaningful connections with clients. Allan is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but currently lives in Miami, Florida. He enjoys traveling, singing, creating content, and working out. Allan ran his first marathon and Ironman this year and plans to continue training to live a healthy lifestyle.
MHA Experience
As an MHA consultant, Allan works on implementations for EMR systems. “When it comes to implementations, I have done a little bit of everything from teaching, supporting, to creating content for customers and training and coaching new consultants,” said Allan. He can utilize his strengths while executing an implementation, which in turn strengthens the workplace environment and establishes meaningful relationships post-implementation.
Allan said the MHA Core Value he most closely aligns with is EQ over IQ because he believes we are human beings, and we all have emotions. “Once you’re able to tap into that (emotions) you’re able to connect with people on a much deeper level, and that has brought me a lot of success at MHA, not only professionally, but at an emotional level,” said Allan.
We asked Allan why he likes working for MHA and he said: “Maxwell from day one has been an amazing company to work for. They have always made me feel like I belong and loved. The culture and resources offered is beyond any other company I have worked for in the past. They believe in pouring into their consultants as much as possible, creating a standard for all of us to follow. Every new person that joins our team, we take them under our wings and make them flourish. That’s what happened to me, and I keep that mindset!”
